A New World: Day 1

Waking up, I heard water rushing. I opened my eyes, and looked around. I was laying on a beach. Where was I? Who was I?! Oh no! I lost my memories! I had to find them, but first, I needed to make a shelter. I began to gather wood(oddly, there was an axe in my soggy backpack), and noticed cows, pigs, and sheep wandering around. (No humans-not a good sign.)Good, food. Cows and pigs would provide steak and pork-maybe bacon? The sheep-I could make a bed! Reaching in my backpack for more things, I was pricked. "Ouch!" I yelled. More carefully, I pulled it out of my backpack. I also had a sword! I looked at the animals. I hated to do this-but I was hungry. I killed the pig and got some meat. I killed the cow and got more meat-and some leather! Armor! I also sheared the sheep.(I found shears in my backpack)It was starting to get dark, so I dug into a cliffside with a shovel. I withdrew a pick and carved a room out, and got some cobblestone and-whattaya know? Coal! I quickly made some planks out of the wood, and some sticks too! You never know when you might need them. The 'room' was dark, but it would have to do. Just in case, I covered up the cliffside. It was pitch black. I had an idea. Grabbing the sticks and coal, I rubbed them together, managing to make torches! Hanging them up in the wall, I heard a growl from outside. I dug some of the dirt out to see what it was. Seeing rotting flesh, and arms stretching forward, Skeletons gripping bows, green tiny beasts with 2 legs, gigantic spiders, I sealed the hole, fear surging through my body. This island was filled with monsters! I set down a crafting table(also from my backpack)and made a furnace with all the stone i'd collected. Heart beating like crazy, I noticed something I was surprised I didn't notice before. Everything seemed to be blocks-even me! I decided I'd get to the bottom of this-tomorrow. I leaned against the cold stone floor. Brrr! I couldn't sleep on this! I remembered the wool. I quickly grabbed some planks, and the wool! I made a bed! Perfect. It was still cold in the room, but I hoped the blanket would provide warmth. Placing the bed down, I laid inside it. Nice and cozy! I closed my eyes, and began to drift into dreams...
